Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Hive & Hush collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit hiveandhush.com.au or shop with us.
Hive & Hush is operated by OmniTrade Ecommerce Enterprises Pty Limited (ABN 99 674 967 643), a veteran-owned family business based in Perth, Western Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Hive & Hush.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for customers in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
Our website is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Information you give us
- Your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses when you place an order or create an account
- Your email address when you join our email list (Join The Hive), and your mobile number if you opt in to SMS
- Anything you share when you contact us, leave a review or enter a promotion
Payment information
Payments are processed securely by Shopify and our payment partners, such as PayPal and Afterpay. We never see or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
When you browse our website, we and our partners collect information about your device and visit, such as your IP address, browser type, location (city or region), the pages and products you view, and how you arrived at our website. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Cookies, Pixels & Advertising below).
Information from partners
We may receive information from partners such as advertising platforms and payment providers, for example confirmation that a payment was approved or that you clicked one of our ads.
How We Use Your Information

Overseas storage
Some of our partners store or process information outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States, Canada and other countries. Cookies, Pixels & Advertising
Cookies are small files saved on your device that help our website work, remember your cart and understand how visitors use our site. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code from partners like Meta and Google that help us measure our ads and show you relevant products on other websites and apps.
Your choices
- Manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of our website, like your cart, may not work properly without them.
- Adjust the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta ad preferences.
- Adjust the ads you see from Google in My Ad Center.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Email, SMS & Join The Hive
Email marketing: if you join our email list (Join The Hive), we'll send you new arrivals, exclusive Hush Deals and helpful ideas. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
SMS marketing: if you opt in to SMS, we'll send up to 4 marketing messages per month, plus occasional messages for special promotions. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Standard message rates from your provider may apply.
Order updates: even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we'll still send you messages about your orders, such as confirmations and shipping updates.
$250 Hush Gift Card draw: Join The Hive subscribers are entered into our monthly draw. We use your email address to run the draw and contact you if you win. If you win, we may publish your first name, last initial and state or region. See our Terms of Service for the full draw terms.
We send all marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), and we never sell or rent your contact details.
Security & How Long We Keep Information
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Our store runs on Shopify's secure platform, all payments are encrypted, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it to help you.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law. For example, order records are kept for tax and accounting purposes, generally for 5 years. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons
- Stop sending you marketing

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can make it right. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response:
